Introduction

Dental Implants provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like your own natural ones. The implants are tiny titanium posts that are placed into your jaw where you have missing teeth. During a short healing period(three to six months) your bone bonds to the surface of the implant. This biologic connection formed by your implant,  prevents further shrinkage. This preserves your appearance and dramatically inhibits the aging process normally associated with tooth loss.

Dr. Port is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the American Academy of Periodontology and has placed over 7,000 dental implants since 1984. Our general dentists, Drs. Cohn, Garland, Griepenburg, Azenheimer and Pasmowitz have had extensive training and experience in restoring these implants. Dental implants provide a quality of life that was not possible for denturer wearers. Rediscover the comfort, confidence, and feel of these natural life-like tooth replacements.

Evaluation

If you feel that implant dentistry may be right for you, we will give you a thorough examination using a panoramic x-ray to assess bone quality. We will also review your medical history and discuss your concerns to make sure implants are your best treatment option. We are very sensitive to your needs and have developed ways to insure that you will never go without teeth during this type of treatment. Your questions and concerns are very important to us and we will work closely with you to give you an excellent result.

We will discuss fees, payment options, insurance and any other questions you may have prior to starting treatment. If an implant fails to integrate during the healing period we will redo it at no cost provided you are not smoking.
